Character Level and Light are now separate stats.Character Level Cap will be increased to 40 on 9/15 (requires The Taken King).

Your Character Level will be grandfathered into your highest possible Light Level from all gear in your inventory and vault.Character Level Cap raised to 34 for all players.The giant-sized full list of patch notes can be found below or you can visit the Bungie announcement here. The Taken King launches for all platforms on September 15th, and the anticipated King's Fall Raid will unlock on September 18th at 6PM BST. The Crucible Daily will not be available during the preview event, but will resume on September 15th. This includes The Taken King content with the Rift and Mayhem Crash game modes. The House of Wolves maps and all Year 1 platform exclusive maps (The Timekeeper and Exodus Blue) are now available to all Destiny players.īungie have also announced a Preview Event, which will take place from September 8 th - 15 th, allowing players to trial the new content for free. The level cap has been increased to 34 for all players, prior to the launch of The Taken King and its exclusive level 40 content. The levelling system has been updated, altering the way 'Light' is calculated, while the gun mechanics have also been tweaked.
